So, who am I to help you learn French?
Well, I’m French, a native speaker, and I hold a Master’s degree from a Grande École in Paris, one of the most selective universities in France. I’m not telling you this to impress you, but to show you that I know how to learn, how to teach, and how to succeed in exams.

A few years ago, I met my wife, Nazlı, in Turkey. She’s a genetic engineer (By the way, I share the full story of how we met in Season 1.) We got married, and when she joined me in France, she had to learn French to get her residence permit and start a new life here. And of course, I wanted the best method for her, something clear, structured, and that would make her feel confident and comfortable learning French.

When Nazlı started learning French, we tried everything: the books everyone recommends, online tutors, even language centers. But very quickly, we discovered the same problem everywhere: nothing was clear, nothing was structured, and nothing actually helped her progress. And honestly, how can you stay motivated when your teacher doesn’t speak your language and only speaks French? Or when they speak your language… but their French is actually very bad?

The books were also confusing, the explanations were inconsistent, and as a French native, I even spotted some critical mistakes that made me throw the books straight into the garbage bin. So my wife was losing time, losing motivation… and honestly, I was getting frustrated too. As I told you before, I want the best for her.

And that’s when I understood something important:
learning French isn’t the real problem. The real problem is finding a method that actually makes sense, a method you can trust.

So at that point, I decided to do something different. Instead of searching for another book or another tutor, I started to analyze the French language myself, properly, step by step.

I studied mathematics and structured analysis at university, so breaking down complex subjects is something I’m used to. So I analyzed every DELF exam from A1 to C2: every grammar point, every verb conjugation, every type of question, every scenario.

I also listed the vocabulary used in those exams and classified each word into high-frequency words, the words French people use every day, and low-frequency words, the advanced vocabulary you need for B2, C1 and C2. Then we built dialogues using those words. And the more I analyzed, the clearer everything became: French is not difficult… it just needs to be organized properly.

So I started building a complete system for Nazlı, something logical, structured, step by step, with no confusion and no wasted time. A method that actually makes sense. With this system, everything you learn can be used both in everyday life and in the DELF exam, so you can easily get your residence permit, and you will see, the French Nationality as well.

And that’s exactly how French With Love started. Not as a business… but simply as a way to help my wife learn French properly. I wanted her to feel confident, comfortable, and supported, not lost, stressed, or confused.

And very quickly, I realized something important: Nazlı wasn’t the only one struggling.
Many people were facing the same problems: bad books, bad explanations, tutors who don’t speak your language, or teachers who speak your language… but can’t speak French well. So many people were wasting time, losing motivation, and learning French the wrong way.

So I told myself: "If I can build a clear and structured method for my wife… I can also help others who need the same thing."

And that’s why French With Love exists today, to give you a method that is simple, structured, and trustworthy.

So once the method was clear, we started building everything around it.

In total, together with Nazlı, we created ten books for new learners: vocabulary books, grammar books, exercise books, and of course the bilingual novel. And we didn’t stop there. We also filmed all the video lessons, edited everything, and organized it inside a Private Members Area where every resource is connected logically.

Nothing is random. Nothing is "just another lesson".
Everything follows the same structure we created for Nazlı, a structure that helps you progress clearly, without confusion, and without wasting time.

So I listed everything you need to know to reach the C2 level:
all the grammar, all the vocabulary, all the skills, all the situations, from Season 1 to Season 2, from complete beginner to the C2 level.

And when I finished, I had exactly 840 steps.
Eight hundred and forty steps to master the entire French language.

To make this journey easier, I divided these 840 steps into groups of 20. Each group is what I call a "Gate". So after every 20 steps, you pass a Gate, and each Gate validates your progress.

And I added special Star Gates where you earn a Star and a certificate to celebrate your success. There are six in total: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1… until the final C2 Star.

This is not just a method. It’s a clear roadmap.
A structured path where you always know what to do, what to learn, and where you’re going. And I’m here to guide you through every step so you can successfully pass every Gate.

And my motivation is very simple: I want you to succeed.
